A stroll through the Roqueta neighborhood and the Old Town of Tossa, on a sunny Sunday in March, is enough to feel that this place has a special charm.
Months later, there is the option to take over the Fonda Lluna next to the beach of Es Codolar beach. A 1950s inn that, over time, has withered away. Located in the fishermen’s neighborhood of Tossa de Mar, between stairs, plants and cobbled streets that make it a different and unique space.
Now we have to find a name for the new hostel, a name that suits it, that ties in with the surroundings, as we have already done on other occasions.
We let ourselves be guided by the history of the place, by the nomenclature of typical dishes, by the name of the beaches, of the capes… and finally, it is the Mar Menuda beach that inspires the hostel “Es MeNut”.
The name comes from the fact that the inn preserves the old structure of the inn and the rooms are not too big, but with everything that is necessary.
It’s MeNut as the name says, is also the smallest of the three brothers; the first one, the Hostal Sa Teula was born next to the beach of Llafranc in 2021; the second one, the Hostal Es Niu opens its doors the following year at the
Cala de Tamariu.
The three hostels are the result of revitalizing old hotels, which with the generational changes have been losing their essence and now, in our hands, offer a new style, fresher, simpler and with a Mediterranean air.
